Financial Literacy Workshop in Delhi | Moneybar with Snehaa Delhi Karnataka Ladies Association
October 26, 2026
What happens when a financial literacy workshop turns into a room full of conversations, questions, ideas and shared experiences? We experienced exactly that with the Snehaa Delhi Karnataka Ladies Association in Delhi.
Moneybar recently conducted its first-ever financial literacy workshop with a community outside Northeast India, engaging women between the ages of 40 and 65 in an interactive session on money management and traditional investment methods. As a financial education initiative from Nagaland, this was a special milestone for us, and one we will remember for a long time.
The energy in the room was incredible. The discussions were lively, the questions kept coming, and the Q&A continued well beyond the scheduled session. What made the experience particularly refreshing was how much the women already knew and how actively many of them were managing their finances and making investment decisions within their capacity. Even the senior participants brought valuable knowledge and experience to the conversation.
We went in hoping to share our knowledge of financial planning, savings and investments. We came away having learned a great deal ourselves. It was a reminder that financial literacy is not a one-way conversation; every community has experiences and lessons worth sharing.
The session also left us thinking about the work that still lies ahead in Northeast India. The differences we observed in financial awareness and the practical steps people were already taking to manage their money made us reflect on how much more needs to be done in our own communities. There is a long way to go, but this is precisely why Moneybar exists: to make financial education more accessible, encourage informed financial decisions and help people build greater confidence in managing their money.
We are grateful to the Snehaa Delhi Karnataka Ladies Association for welcoming us and making our first workshop beyond the Northeast such a memorable experience. We came to share, but we left with new perspectives, renewed energy and an even stronger conviction to keep doing this work.
At Moneybar, our goal is not just to talk about money, but to help create a culture where people understand it, discuss it openly and make better financial decisions for themselves and their families.
