2,000+ Youth. A Powerful Start in Manipur with the Mao Students Union.
January 6, 2026
Moneybar’s first on-ground engagement in Manipur began with an important conversation on money alongside the Mao Students Union, with over 2,000 youth coming together in a room filled with energy, ambition and potential. The experience was a strong reminder that conversations around money matter deeply, especially among young people shaping the future of their households, communities and decisions. Through the session, we spoke about money management, financial literacy, financial awareness and building healthier financial habits early. More importantly, it created space for honest conversations around how young people think about money, financial choices and the role financial confidence can play in everyday life. What stood out most was the scale of participation and the openness in the room. Bringing conversations around personal finance and financial literacy into community spaces like this is still new in many parts of the North East, which made the exchange especially meaningful. For Moneybar, this marked an important first step in Manipur and another step forward in building more accessible financial awareness across the North East.
