Moneybar Conducts Financial Literacy Workshop for 150+ Students in Kohima, Nagaland

July 20, 2025

Moneybar conducted an introductory Financial Literacy workshop in collaboration with the Mao Students' Union, Kohima, engaging more than 150 students in conversations around budgeting, saving, money management, and building healthy financial habits. The workshop was designed to introduce students to essential financial concepts that are rarely discussed in traditional academic settings. Through practical examples and guided discussions, participants explored the importance of making informed financial decisions and developing a healthy relationship with money from an early age. At Moneybar, we believe financial literacy should be experienced, not just explained. That's why our workshops combine interactive activities, real-world examples, group discussions, and hands-on exercises to make learning about money engaging, practical, and memorable. By turning complex financial concepts into relatable experiences, we help participants build confidence in managing their finances long after the session ends. The workshop saw enthusiastic participation from students, who actively engaged in discussions and activities designed to encourage critical thinking about money, financial decision-making, and everyday financial behaviour. As we continue expanding financial literacy initiatives across Northeast India, we remain committed to creating spaces where young people can learn, ask questions, and build the confidence needed to navigate their financial futures.
